EFCC ARRAIGNS A BANKER FOR DEFRAUDING 9 CUSTOMERS N 25,000,000.00

A former Fidelity Bank staff, Yahaya Friday (known as Peter Arikham) who defrauded a customer the sum of N25,350,000.00 has been arraigned by EFCC before justice Lawal Akpo of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja. 

Friday Yahaya who was present in the Court, was indicted on a 16 count charge related to stealing, impersonation and forgery.
The accused defrauded about nine customer in Balogun Market through diversion of their money into his personal bank account. 

The most affected victim is a customer he diverted his N21,710,000 into his own personal account.

One of the charges peruses: "Friday Yahaya (Peter Arikhan) at some point between the months of February and November 2013, at Lagos inside the Ikeja Judicial Division, whilst being a staff of Fidelity Bank Plc stole the total of N21, 710, 000 (Twenty One Million Seven Hundred and Ten Thousand Naira) from account number 6050729408 kept up by Ifeanyi Okoye, property of Fidelity Bank Plc".

At the point when the charges were perused to him, he argued not guilty. Justice Akapo adjourned the matter till March 11, 2015 after hearing of defense's bail application requested that the accused person be remanded in Ikoyi jail.
